How many years have you been a freelance illustrator?
I have been a designer for roughly 20 years, working for design studios and advertising agencies around the North West of England. I have always managed to incorporate illustration with my work and in February 2008 I finally took the plunge to go full time freelance. Best decision I have ever made.
How reliable are you?
I would like to think I am very reliable, you are only as good as your last job. If you let people down they might not come back again.
In a commercial sense what can your work be applied too?
I think my style can be quite versatile, I have done work for greetings cards, packaging, online gaming and children’s publishing to name a few.

Who are your top clients?
Top clients, do you mean the ones that keep coming back. I suppose they would class as top clients. I have a few well known Ad agencies from the North West who have been using me regularly which is great. If you mean Top as in WOW that’s cool, well I would have to say Warner Bros and Ladybird. But I have to give a big shout out to my agent who also does a great job for me.
Apart from illustration what other skills do you have?
Other Skills, I manage a girls under 14’s football team. That needs a certain amount of skill. Keeping 15 hormonal girls under control is certainly a skill. Oh and I’m also pretty good at laying laminate flooring.
What’s your favourite sandwich filling?
I do enjoy a tuna mayo with crunchy salad on thick brown farmhouse bread.
